"We can’t wait to warm up the mulled wine and welcome our visitors for a spot of Christmas shopping with an added drop of festive community spirit"!
Jelleymans Mill Fayre Returns for Christmas
Jelleyman’s Mill Fayre returned ahead of Christmas on Saturday 11th December from 10am to 3pm outside the local heritage hidden gem, a former rope mill on the Bond Worth Carpet grounds, at the bottom of Puxton Lane in Kidderminster.
The Managing Director of Bond Worth, said: “The Victorian buildings by the riverside are complemented beautifully by each season and Christmas is no exception. Jelleymans Mill is the perfect setting for a festive- themed event. The rich heritage of the site is a wonderful setting for craft fayres, where individual creativity and commerce is celebrated. There will be plenty of Christmas- themed products made locally and also some wonderful unique gift ideas. Even if you’re the sort who finished all of your Christmas shopping months ago, it is still very much worth a visit to ace yourself feel all Christmassy.”
The mill was built by Francis Jelleyman in around 1875 and was originally used for making tarpaulins but later became an important building within local carpet production.
Coralie Hudson, event organiser said: “Following the great success of our Autumn Fayre, we cannot wait for our Christmas event! We will have over 30 gorgeous stalls with something for everyone from Christmas wreaths, candles, a range of jewellery from crystal to quirky and polymer clay, bags and accessories, wooden gifts, chutneys and more!
“We are looking forward to welcoming people for a spot of Christmas shopping and the opportunity to support local artisans and businesses in the run up to the big day.”
Supported by Bond Worth Carpets Ltd and Mrs. Jelleymans Wonder Emporium, a candle maker at the site who will also have a stall on the day, the free event will include over 30 craft and gift stalls. Refreshments will be available including hot food and festive drinks.
